Application Architect - Chennai Office
Company Summary: Rapidly growing company with innovative technology designed for organizations who want to manage their unstructured, electronic sources of information (ESI) for the purposes of Legal Discovery (eDiscovery), records classification & management, file/storage management and governance, compliance & risk management. We are headquartered in Austin, TX and are in the process of setting up an Offshore Development Center in India as we seek smart engineers on both sides of the planet.

Summary of Position

Primary responsibilities of this position will include, but will not be limited to:
- Helping with laying down requirements for new features and “stories”
- Transforming requirements to designs and documenting them
- Developing applications based on the designs that fulfill the documented requirements and meet other goals such as user-experience, aesthetics, performance, reliability and scalability.
- Working with other engineers in an Agile development process.
- Working with a QA team to ensure the final product is as good as it can be.
Basic skill-set expected to be useful for this position includes:
- Developing in Python, plus the ability to integrate other third-party tools/software into Python using C, C++ or Java.
- Understanding and designing relational database schema and the ability to develop and implement basic queries.
- Developing for Linux environment.
- Well-versed in algorithms and data structures because these will eventually improve the reliability and performance of the applications you develop.
- Not shy to take on any other tasks like working with HTML or any open-source libraries.
Work Experience:
Ideally, you would have at least 5 years of work experience with enterprise level solutions, but there could be an exception if you can prove you are mature beyond your years.
Remuneration:
Commensurate with work experience.
