Integration Between StoredIQ ICM 5000 and EMC Centera Intelligently Archives Unstructured Information

AUSTIN, Texas – June 27, 2006 – StoredIQ, Inc. the leading provider of automated Information Classification and Management (ICM) software, today announced it has completed integration between the company’s ICM 5000TM content-based classification and policy management software and EMC Centera CAS. Centera is a purpose-built, software-driven storage platform that provides a myriad of new capabilities for unlocking the business value from unchanging or infrequently changing digital assets. StoredIQ is also now an EMC Velocity2 ISV CAS Specialty Advantage partner and will work closely to market and sell the combined solution.

The integration combines the strength of StoredIQ ICM 5000, the industry’s most thorough content-based classification and policy management solution with, EMC Centera, the leading archive storage platform, giving organizations the ability to discern what information is stored in Centera, based on the content of that information. The relationship allows for rich contextual classification and automated policies that can copy, move, set retention, or apply litigation hold onto information going into Centera.

“With contextual classification, you now have a deeper business understanding of file-based information,” said Dave Davenport, CEO of StoredIQ. “Customers can apply the right retention setting to the right files so that they can meet their compliance and legal challenges without having to save everything forever.”

Mark Avery, EMC Senior Director, Centera Markets and Alliances, said, “The integration between EMC Centera and StoredIQ’s ICM 5000 solution benefits joint customers who wish to deploy the leading archive storage platform by finding, classifying and taking automated policy actions based on actual file content.”

StoredIQ provides information management solutions that automate the discovery, classification, protection and storage of unmanaged business information in files and email. StoredIQ provides a unique combination of content-aware intelligence, classification flexibility and action-based policies to the information lifecycle management process, allowing customers to quickly deploy and gain immediate value.
