Version 4.0 delivers automated E-discovery, E-Risk Management, E-Records Management
AUSTIN, Texas – September 13th, 2006 – StoredIQ, Inc. a leading provider of automated Information Classification and Management (ICM) software, today announced Version 4.0 of the company’s information management platform. Enhancements include advanced information search, classification and management functionality in addition to features that facilitate lower-cost e-discovery and e-records management.
This new version enables key e-discovery functions including an ad-hoc query capability for all metadata to easily iterate searches that precisely gather together required legal files. Further, certified integration of the Litigation Hold capability within EMC’s Centera CAS server acts to protect legal files, resulting in the most robust e-discovery solution available in the market. For proactively managing e-risk in the enterprise, StoredIQ now offers a number of general business pre-built classifications to identify and take remedial action on problematic content. As an E-Records Management system, the automatic setting of retention periods on specific classes of files lets organizations execute required data retention policies at a much lower cost.
“We recently used StoredIQ for e-discovery on a major case involving a world-wide financial services firm and it’s client, a large oil and gas company, said Ken Sidelinger, director at global legal services firm, LECG. “Within hours, StoredIQ's natural language processing technology "discovered" the top 5% of the documents most relevant to the case, reducing the total number of relevant documents requiring manual review by 95%. Their classification technology not only effectively served as a man-multiplier for legal counsel, resulting in faster, more thorough and more uniform production of critical documents, but also provided extensive labor savings.”
“Organizations need to have a proactive information management initiative to protect themselves and their customers, partners, and stakeholders” said Keith Zoellner, CTO of StoredIQ. “Utilizing StoredIQ’s e-discovery functions in Version 4.0 to locate and protect critical legal files is financially justified with just a single lawsuit, but utilizing the same StoredIQ system for e-risk management and e-records management makes it a the absolute best information management value in the market.”
