AUSTIN, Texas - September 20, 2006 - StoredIQ, Inc. the leading provider of automated Information Classification and Management (ICM) solutions, today announced that St. Vincent Health has joined the company's growing customer list.
St. Vincent Health, a member of the Ascension Health Network, the nation's largest Catholic non-profit health system, purchased the software to identify unstructured content within files and emails located throughout the organization. The hospital is creating automated policy actions that correspond to a specific risk or compliance regulation and executing those policies to secure, retain or migrate information to the most appropriate location.
"This hospital system has a trusted reputation within the country as an Ascension Health Center of Excellence," said Karen Johnson, Regulatory Compliance Officer at St. Vincent Health. "We want to ensure that we retain that trust by proactively complying with all regulatory requirements as well as protecting the security of our patients' health information."
Initially, the software is being used to identify and protect electronic patient health information (ePHI), according to HIPAA security regulations. "Working with St. Vincent Health gives StoredIQ access to an industry-leading health care institution which will allow us to expand on the business benefits that StoredIQ offers to all of our customers."
