Rapid, efficient deployment - Back to Top

With StoredIQ products, setup often takes a few hours or less. The massively scalable StoredIQ appliance immediately begins creating structured perspectives of a company’s unstructured information across an enterprise’s data sources including file systems, email systems, document management systems and existing enterprise archives.

Through the use of agent-less technology, the StoredIQ appliance can crawl electronically stored information (ESI) across an enterprise’s data sources, recognizing over 300 different file types while building an extraordinarily rich metadata index derived from linguistically analyzed content, system and enterprise directory sources. With all of your enterprise content tagged with patent pending analytics, classifications encapsulating requirements for legal hold, records retention and risk management, policies can then be defined and published.

Industry-leading performance - Back to Top

StoredIQ products can scan and thindex (index of system and object metadata information) up to 20 terabytes per day. For full-text indexing, StoredIQ can scan, index, classify and process up to 3 terabytes per day, depending on appliance configuration. This industry-leading performance is based on our patent-pending technology and a unique approach to eDiscovery.

Once information is classified and you have created structure of your ESI, you can easily define policies that will address the management liability across your unstructured data sources. The StoredIQ product has a symmetrically distributed policy engine that can act on millions of files and emails to:

  • Copy objects to enterprise retention servers from EMC, NetApp, IBM and Hitachi to lock data down for litigation hold or compliance/governance retention rules.
  • Modify security attributes to ensure the proper access to relevant classes of data.
  • Move data to servers with different security semantics.
  • Delete classes of data that are no longer relevant to your business.
  • Extract native files held under litigation hold and produce legal review tool compatible load files in popular formats such as concordance.

Working in concert with the comprehensive tagging, classification and policy engine is a deeply integrated auditing fabric that logs all application rule changes, all enterprise crawling and user-based queries, and all fine grained policy execution.

The result is an easy-to-use product that has the speed and performance that organizations need today for Intelligent Information Management.

Enterprise-class scalability and manageability - Back to Top

StoredIQ products can be easily scaled with symmetrically distributed harvesting, processing and policy execution. This means that all processing leverages all available compute resources. The products can support up to 20 different very large area networks (VLANs), allowing for interaction with network servers and storage systems on the backup system network.

Manageability is enhanced through stateless compute nodes which enable automatic compute node failover. The products support efficient system upgrades, including automated data conversions. Scheduled backups are also automated using the open-standard Network Data Management Protocol (NDMP).
