StoredIQ’s Data Storage Assessment Service provides a powerful and flexible approach for gaining an objective understanding of the characteristics of your unstructured data. Our sampling-based assessment approach examines every “nth” file in the targeted storage environment allowing StoredIQ to statistically sample large data storage environments during the Assessment timeframe. Alternatively, our volume based Assessment targets every object on a specific set of storage volumes. Both approaches yield insight into the characteristics of the data such as inactive files, file duplication, owner storage volumes, file access frequency and other key information needed by IT to make intelligent storage management decisions. As a part of the Assessment, our consultants will be onsite with a StoredIQ Appliance; they will install, configure and index using the selected approach and provide a detailed report of the results that includes:

• Summary of data objects
• Storage use by owner
• Storage use by group
• Storage use by data object type
• Data object by last access date
• Data object by last modification date
• Identical data objects by size
• Identical data objects by count
• Data object mismatch report
